In the third issue of the Elesti series of historical fantasy adventures, our heroes Elesti, Mentor, Avra and Leon seek the source of unlimited power to combat a major threat to humanity.
The latest issue in the Elesti series of historical fantasy adventures deals with the fundamental issue of power and power dynamics. The fact that otherwise destructive forces can be channeled towards useful purposes and the manner in which crisis instigates rough awakenings is also addressed, in relation to the theme of the previous issue (2), Poseidon's Trap.
Elesti and Mentor urgently call Avra and Leon into their world to announce that the forces of illusion have somehow escaped from the depths of the ocean and are wreaking havoc amongst humans, sparking hatred and war on one hand while deluding and stupefying the population on the other.

These forces turn out to be so overwhelming that it proves impossible, even with Elesti's powers, to fight them head-on, so our heroes seek advice from the most powerful known being alive: The semi-god Hercules.
Hercules, however, has his own challenge to face - the cleaning of the stables of Augeus. Inspired by a turtle being dropped by an eagle onto Leon's head, Hercules has the brilliant idea of redirecting the flow of a nearby river, in order to carry out his impossible task.

This inspires our heroes to do just the same - by awakening forces much more potent than those of a little river! This leads to an unexpected turn of events which promises a surprising and spectacular victory.
"The Key to Power" is in the stage of post-production, in preparation for printing.
The story was written by Leonidas Kossis. Illustrations are by Anastassia Babekou under the artistic direction of Lefteris Faros.
The creators of the Elesti series of historical fantasy adventures are Leonidas Kossis and Konstantinos Nanopoulos.
